Pinnacle Design Build Group, Inc. completes construction of a MSE Berm as part of expansion of municipal landfill in Erie, PA

CUMMING, GEORGIA (August 24, 2010) – Pinnacle Design/Build Group, Inc. recently completed the construction of a Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Berm at Waste Management’s Lake View Landfill in Erie, PA. The MSE Berm which encompasses 25,000 SF and reaches a height of 45 FT, will be utilized as part of the landfill waste capacity expansion. The Berm was constructed in just one month, meeting the owners time-sensitive schedule.

Pinnacle Design/Build constructed the vegetate MSE Berm reinforced with Tensar geogrids.

The berm’s face was vegetated with grasses to provide for a green sustainable earth retaining structure which blends with the surrounding area.
