Pinnacle Design/Build Begins Construction of Retaining Walls at the Montage Resort and Spa in Park City, UT

CUMMING, GEORGIA (November 21, 2007) – Pinnacle Design/Build has started retaining wall construction for Layton Construction at the new Montage Resort and Spa in Park City, UT. The project includes over 60,000 square feet of MSE retaining walls for the site development. “Pinnacle Design/Build's turnkey offering of construction and engineering of the site retaining walls has been a great benefit to the projects budget and scheduled”, said Joseph E. Harris, President of Pinnacle Design/Build Group. The Montage Resort and Spa project includes both MSE Segmental Retaining Walls and MSE Stone-Filled, Welded-Wire Faced retaining walls. The welded wire faced retaining walls will be veneered with natural stone to match the architectural stone being used on the resort's building exteriors. “Our ability to utilize the natural stone and coordinate our retaining walls with the design theme of the project was a key consideration”, Harris added. The retaining walls are scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2008.

The Montage Resort & Spa at Deer Valley was designed by HKS/Hill Glazier Studio with the theme reminiscent of the great mountain lodges of North America. The mixed-use resort project includes a 173-room luxury hotel; two restaurants and two lounge facilities; 14,000 square feet of indoor meeting and function space and extensive outdoor function lawn areas for the summer season; retail shops; an outdoor swimming pool and terraces; indoor family recreation areas; ski concierge and skier services facilities; and a 35,000 square foot full service spa. In addition to the hotel facilities the property includes 90 whole ownership luxury residences in the upper floors of the resort lodge.
